Painted & Sew'n Tote Bag Class! Come Play!

If you weren't at the last class, we sure had a lot of fun and wish you were there. My "girls" and I were sewing up a storm on paper scraps, making cards, postcards, composition books, etc., eating bruschetta and laughing up a storm tqlking about sewing and girl stuff. We hope you will come join us at the next class when you can learn how to make a tote bag from a rectangle of fabric. More details below.

at Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale, AZ
Student Supply list:
2 or 3 cheapy 1 or 2"  bristle brushes
small container for water
small supply of paper towels
3-4 small bottles of acrylic paint in your favorite colors that work well together
thread to match your paint colors
sewing machine (Or, rent one for $5. for the afternoon.) Let Debbie know if you need a machine when you sign up.
fabric scissors
apron

I will supply:
canvas
purse handles in different styles and colors (or bring your own if you wish)
a variety of mark makers for painting and stenciling
markers
instructions
some paint

Spend the morning dripping, splattering, and stenciling paint on your canvas. Take a lunch break (Go out, or bring your own.) while the paint dries, and come back ready to turn your canvas into a tote. If you can sew a straight line, you are good to go. This is much easier than it might look, if you don't have lots of sewing practice.  If you have any questions, please email me at janeeileen@hotmail.com.

  1. I think I will just have to move to AZ. Yes, I know, I saw the icicles on the fountain - but this tote and the scrappy paper quilts make me lust after such classes close by. Love your work.
